Ukelele Play Along

Discover the ease and joy of making music among friends. The journey begins with a single note.
On the evening of January 19th, Emily Nyman will lead a “Ukelele Play Along”.  This instructional jam session is free to all guests of the Inn, and includes all level instruction and easy to play, super fun songs (booklet provided).

Bring your own Uke if you have one, or borrow one of ours.
You may also bring other instruments (percussion, guitar etc.) if you want.
Or, just sit back and take it all in.
All levels of ability are welcome!

Treat yourself to the joy of music and good company.

There will be the opportunity to schedule a private music lesson with Emily ($25 per ½ hour; uke, guitar, or piano).

Emily and her wife Lynn have performed at the Inn for over 20 years. Emily is a music instructor at the Community College of Vermont.

Carolyn Gage

Carolyn Gage will be performing excerpts from her one-woman shows… including roles such as Calamity Jane, Joan of Arc, Charlotte Cushman, Nance O’Neil, Lizzie Borden’s maid, etc. etc… AND discussing her latest play Lighting Martha, about the lesbian who lit the Martha Graham Dance Company for 35 years, AND her latest book The Princess of Pain… and possibly her current work, Female Nude, Seated. It’s going to be amazing!

Mindfulness Weekend

Come enjoy a weekend of Mindfulness in the Mountains!

The sessions are suitable for all levels of Mindfulness practice, from beginner to advanced.
This is a great opportunity if you have always wanted to learn about Mindfulness!  The mountain beauty creates a perfect backdrop.  Combine your sessions with a hike, a gentle walk on the property, or some time relaxing in this beautiful oasis.

Thanksgiving 2019

Enjoy the Inn’s hospitality at its best when old and new friends gather for Thanksgiving dinner. We will serve a traditional Turkey feast with all the trimmings and yummy desserts. Cost is $65 per person. Three night minimum stay please.

Friday night, enjoy a cozy house concert with Emily Nyman. With her unique style, poetic lyrics, soothing vocals, and expressive guitar, Emily Nyman’s performance is a real treat. An eclectic mix of tunes, including singer-songwriter, folk, and classic rock, with a sprinkling of blues, country and old standards, Emily’s performance is sure to please audiences of all musical tastes. She connects with her audience in an intimate way, inviting listeners to experience the emotions behind her originals and reminisce to familiar tunes.
